Here are some pics from my adventures on the test server thus far.
SUN's Ether - The snowy place - lvl 53-59 (from what I saw)
The zerker I made, wearing like lvl 28 armor or so. Nothing to special, but he looked pretty cool.
Sometimes in war, nobody wins . Idk how this happened, but he died a split second after I did. I don't think I had any dot or poison-type attacks, but somehow we both died.
My caster chick in her 28-ish gear. It starts to look awesome.
The next armor up, something like 36?
Check out that vertical. This is me executing one of the higher-level fire AoE attacks.
and after I cast... *boom*
One of my "get the fuck off me" moves, a close-range knockback attack with water spout things.
Fin.
Test server is pretty cool, I think it made me change my mind about what class I want to play, and how to distribute my points toward my character. For example, I need a TON of points toward strength and vitality to be able to wear the high-level zerker armor. That leaves very little points to put towards extra skills. The reason/justification is that as a caster I need to keep chaining spells together, and I have no "normal" attack. A zerker relies less on skills and more on normal attacks at close range. It's not bad, but it gets a little repetitive. The armor requirements for an Elementalist are much lower and I have more points to spend on awesome attacks. In addition, though an Elementalist has much less HP at 55 (just under half of a zerker) the elementalist's defense is much closer than I expected it would be. Considering the insane DPS an elementalist has, I think I'll play a hardcore nuker Elementalist. I might change my mind, but I think I'm going to change my priorities a bit.
I encourage people to give the test server a try, but only for a day or less. It's good to test out different skills and see what requirements there are for weapons/armor. Makes it much easier to plan out your points and spend them more efficiently. Just remember that you'll need to go back to your old character, and don't get too caught up on the "holy crap I'm 55" aspect. _________________ www.myspace.com/tony4546 if you want to say hi.
